People often go for pretty things, which is just sad because so many unlucky animals are always ignored only because of their unattractive appearance. Bean the cat was once neglected like that, but thankfully Francisca Franken found her and fell in love with her.
The German girl is a cat person at heart. She used to live with a cheerful feline named Joker, but as she moved out from her parent’s house in a rural area to a tiny flat, she chose to let him stay behind because she knew what’s best for him. But it didn’t mean she did not feel empty without such a companion.
After one year of living alone, Francisca moved again – to a bigger flat this time so she could find herself another friend to live with. The girl wanted to take it slow, but her plan changed the second she saw Bean’s picture on the internet.
Francisca immediately knew this cat was everything she wished for, so she applied for adoption without a second thought. She was really nervous, but also excited too. The girl didn’t sleep all night long.
To Francisca’s surprise, Bean turned out to be an unwanted cat who had spent so many months living in the shelter without any attention from the potential adopters. The so-called “grumpy” cat had been forgotten for so long that they even directly called Francisca to make sure she didn’t accidentally press the wrong button.
The shelter staff talked to Francisca about Bean’s dark past and loneliness, which just broke her heart. According to what they said, some rescuers spotted Bean wandering in a trailer park with serious medical issues that had never been treated, and they were pretty sure the cat would have faced a tragic end if they hadn’t shown up in time.
Of course, Francisca couldn’t wait to see this adorable kitty. So when the day came, she put on her best outfit and got on the road. And their first met was simply unforgettable.
Francisca burst out crying in front of the sweet cat and the shelter decided to let her take Bean home on the same day because, seriously, anybody could see how much she loved this little girl.
Francisca and Bean have been sharing the same bed since that touching moment, and from now on neither of them would ever feel lonely again. It seems like Bean loves her human just as much as Francisca loves the cat, and they’re both so happy they found each other!
