It was an extremely hot day when Hope For Paws got a call about an abandoned dog. As usual, they headed out as quickly as possible to save the poor soul. People said that the dog and his owner lived in the old trailer, but one day the man was nowhere to be seen, and nobody knew what happened to him. They just knew that the poor dog was left alone in the area, longing for his owner to come back, but to no avail.
As the rescuers arrived at the location, they spotted the dog lying under an old car. He appeared to be nervous so they decided to use a humane trap to get him in order not to scare the dog away. They patiently observed him from a distance and eventually, the dog got into the trap. Fortunately, he was in pretty good condition and not too scared when the rescuers approached him.
They named him Klaus, taking him to their car to head over to the vet for a medical check-up. He got a warm gentle bath but still looked so shy. He needed a little bit of time to get used to the new environment. No one could imagine how confused he must have been after losing his owner. It was out of the blue and all the loyal dog could do was just to hopelessly wait. But from the moment he got rescued, his life started to change. No more loneliness.

Klaus is learning to trust humans again and he already made huge progress. He is such a gorgeous boy and worthy of a new life full of love. He will find a good family soon.
